Smooth Country

Smooth Country operates as a national digital radio station and web-radio network based in London, UK. It has broadcast across the UK DAB+ digital multiplex since September 2019 under Global Media & Entertainment. The station targets adults aged 35 to 64 with a mix of classic country and contemporary Nashville hits, offering listeners melodic storytelling without heavy talk breaks.

On weekdays from 9:00 to 13:00, The Morning Show with Eamonn Kelly keeps listeners company through the workday. Eamonn keeps workdays moving with Nashville updates, ticket giveaways, and a mix of mainstream stars like Cody Johnson alongside classic favorites. The playlist bridges generations by pairing artists like Dolly Parton and Glen Campbell with contemporary names such as Luke Combs and Lainey Wilson. The focus stays on commercial crossover appeal rather than niche subgenres.

RAJAR figures for June 2026 put the station's weekly reach at 501,000 listeners, up from 446,000 the previous year. Listeners tune in for an average of 7.1 hours. The station works well as a reliable audio choice for work and car journeys across the UK because it delivers steady, familiar music without constant interruptions.

While backed by Global's digital infrastructure, the network has some downsides. These include occasional ad repetition and a lack of deep niche programming compared to independent web-radios, though it offers a broader playlist than Bauer's Country Hits Radio.
